About Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan – Roberta MacGlashan was elected to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors in November of 2004. Prior to joining the Board, MacGlashan served on the Citrus Heights City Council. She was Mayor twice and Vice Mayor three times during her two terms, starting in 1996. MacGlashan earned a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning, and has widespread planning experience in the private sector as well. MacGlashan´s top priorities while in public service have included efforts to create a more "business-friendly" environment by cutting red tape and bringing jobs and businesses back to the local community. Fiscal planning and responsible budgeting will remain a focal point for her as County Supervisor. While on the City Council, she pushed to build strong reserves for the city of Citrus Heights without voting to raise taxes. MacGlashan also puts a high priority on public safety, and has worked to build strong relationships between schools and law enforcement. She led efforts to put Police Resource Officers in Citrus Heights area high schools, and also fought to stop adult businesses from locating in areas near schools and residential housing. MacGlashan and her husband, Craig, have been married for more than 30 years and live in Gold River.
