Dear Neighbors,

Welcome to my District 2 Website.

I am pleased to have served as your representative on the Board of Supervisors since January 2007. Since my election, I have taken a common-sense approach to county government, and strived to ensure that we are a well-managed organization.

These last few years, our budget has endured devastating shortfalls, and I have worked to balance our budget reasonably, keeping our government accountable and operating within our means. I am committed to fiscal stability that will, in the long-run, enhance the quality of life for county residents.

As a native of Sacramento, I have dedicated my life to making our community healthy and strong, both in the private sector, as a City of Sacramento councilman, and now with Sacramento County. Despite the downturn in the economy, we are seeing good things happening in our communities. You can help our communities continue to improve by volunteering or by serving on a local board or commission. I would also like to urge everyone to watch out for your neighbors during extreme weather conditions.
