SECTION 59. HEALTH SERVICES. The County of Sacramento may provide such health services as the board of supervisors deems necessary or appropriate. Such services may be, but are not required to be, provided by operating a general county hospital, outpatient clinics or other appropriate programs or facilities. The board of supervisors may contract with any private or public entity for the purpose of providing health services pursuant to this section. (1977)
